Our team manages projects from site selection to completion.  Based on your needs, we have affiliations with professionals in various design disciplines to build a team best suited for the project, including architectural and engineering services..

We facilitate a brainstorming session with organizational leaders. Discussion topics include your desired image as an organization, future growth, business goals, processes, nursing models and elements of care and project goals, like safety, infection control, patient experience and so on.  When your space is planned and designed tailored to your needs, it can foster and support business goals and visions..

We conduct interviews with your organization’s team leaders and create a headcount for your organization that quantifies the following:

• Personnel headcount
• Types of spaces needed
• Required square footage amounts for each
• spatial type each
• Unique needs and considerations

Next, we will test the program of requirements into an existing building and/or discovering the most efficient way to plan a new building.  For new construction projects, this allows you to “design your environment from the inside out.”

Developing a design is a multi-phase process that involves planning and sculpting the layout of the built environment including: partitions, ceilings, lighting, electrical/data outlet locations, materials, finishes, furnishings and artwork.

Our professionals document the approved and final design in drawing and specification formats.  These documents are contractual and essential for construction and the procurement of furnishings and artwork.

Many times we aid our clients as they interview contractors and make their selections.  As experienced professionals in the building and construction industry, we can add viewpoints and knowledge to help ensure that the finished product meets your expectations.

During the construction process, our project manager participates in construction meetings, coordinates with consultants and contractors, provides design clarifications and makes regular site visits to view construction progress and verify design intent.

The systemic nature of sustainable design practice is a part of our design process. It is not a separate, independent box to check off. We assist clients in meeting their goals for creating healthy environments that are responsible to our planet. In addition, we provide consulting to manage the LEED process from project registration to certification. Our Director of LEED Consulting is not a designer in sheep’s clothing, but a professional with experience in environmental management of resources.
