Center for Health Systems & Design (CHSD), Faculty Fellow
Texas A&M University’s Center for Health Systems & Design is home to the world’s largest collection of interdisciplinary faculty, students, and affiliated professionals committed to research and education about environments for healthcare. The Center for Health Systems & Design is a creation of the Colleges of Architecture and Medicine at Texas A&M University intended to promote research, innovation and communication in an interdisciplinary program that focuses on health facility planning and design. The research interests range from the effects of stress on patients’ health and well-being, to the design of healing environments for neonatal patients, children, the elderly, people who live in the Texas Colonias and AIDS patients. The primary activities of the Center include a professional associates program, curriculum development, health lecture series and support of health-related research and design projects.

Center for Health Design (CHD) Research Coalition, Member
The CHD Research Coalition nurtures, supports and produces evidence-based design research that contribute to therapeutic, safe, efficient and effective healthcare settings. Comprised of research professionals, design practitioners and healthcare administrators, the Research Coalition steers funding for healthcare design research, helps guide these projects to success and develops information and tools for implementing evidence-based design in existing and new facilities.

GreenGuard Environmental Institute (GEI) Advisory Board, Member
GEI is an independent group of experts with a common interest in indoor air quality and public health. Members are volunteers. The GEI Advisory Board members represent the diverse stakeholders that plan, design, construct and occupy buildings, and that address the environmental and health impact of those buildings.
